Dr. Daniel Huacuz has been certified by INAMED, the makers of the only LAP-BAND System approved by the FDA.

As a General as well as Bariatric Surgeon, with wide knowledge and experience in the gastric band and gastric bypass procedures, and laparoscopic procedures he has performed more than 3880 interventions. This is the basis of a guarantee to you that Dr. Huacuz has the experience necessary for the treatment and control of the obese patient as well as gastrointestinal problems that require surgical intervention.

Graduated in 1992 from the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo's School of Medicine, Dr. Huacuz proceeded to do his specialty in General Surgery at the Secretary of Health's General Hospital in Tijuana, from which he graduated in the year 2000.

Having performed Vertical Gastroplasty on more than 60 patients, Dr. Huacuz is presently experiencing results of 100% successful weight loss in his patients.

From March of 2000 to July of 2002 Dr. Huacuz trained in advanced laparoscopic procedures at the Social Security (IMSS) Regional Hospital in which he intervened in over three thousand surgical cases.

Dr. Huacuz's practice includes general surgery at his own institute "The Huacuz Surgical Center" as well as at the following institutions: the Institute of Health Services for State Workers and the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).

He is also the Chief of the Education Department of the Secretary of Health, and is an upstanding member of the following professional associations:
